In response to an inquiry I sent yesterday, I received the following from enjoyrome.com (a private tourist office near Termini in Rome.)

"From March 1st 2008, the Roman Forum will be included in the Archeological Area of Colosseum and Palatine. That means that the same entrance ticket will be needed to visit the Roman Forum too." The same has been reported in the Rome newspaper il Repubblica.
