We will be on the RCI Voyager for one day in Rome with our 10 year old grandson....WIth so little time we are letting him choose what to see. He wants to see the coliseum, with a kid is there a safe and cheaper than ship exursion to get to rome see the coliseum and get back in the time alloted. I know I can buy tickets to the coliseum on line. and the ship rome on your own seems awful expensive for a bus ride.
thanks for all suggestions vickie in az |
Vickie- Read the posts on taking the train from the port to the Rome Termini station. You can do that "on your own" easy enough and then either take a bus or taxi to the Coliseum. In fact the coliseum is not that far from the station in Rome.

I have just followed the instructions and it is so straightforward and costs nine euros a person for a return ticket to Rome and includes the metro. You could get rom Citivechia to Rome, see the colesium and back in less than 6 hours. Steve |
