Venice hotel - with easy access

I've moved my question to this board ...staying one night post cruise (on the Millenium) and want to minimize dragging suitcases over bridges etc. Have heard about BW Al, Hotel Canoletto, Sauturnia (sp), Locana Ors.. on this site but am not clear about how easy they are to get to from the ship and/or to the hotel. So for you expereinced Venice folks,any ideas?
