Needed....Hotel in Barcelona Spain

My husband and I just booked a cruise on Brillance of the Seas for next August. It is the 12 Night Mediterranean Venice Cruise. We would like to spend a pre and post night in Barcelona, can anyone suggest a nice Hotel. All hotel suggestions are welcome.

(Welcome back from your most recent cruise BTW).
The last time I stayed in Barcelona a group of us stayed at the Royal Hotel Barcelona on Las Ramblas and thought it was great. Price was reasonable, location was perfect, staff was friendly and rooms were quite nice.

I would highly recommend the Claris Hotel as it is well locted, but away from the tourist crush. It offers reasonable rates, large rooms (for Europe) and an out-of-this-world breakfast (included in the room rate)

I liked it so much that my wife and I are staying there again this year.
