Capri/Sorrento/Pompeii

Our cruise schedule has us in Naples from 7am - 7pm on June 2nd. We are interested in going to Capri/Sorrento/Pompeii and plan on doing all of our own exploring.

Is it feasible to explore all three? any suggesstions on the order?

to get some information for Capri. You need a complete day for exploration Capri and the blue lagoon.
It is easy to go to Pompeji by train. Take a Taxi to the central station and than take the Circumvesuviana train to Peompeji. There are many advices in the chat. Lokk for that or ask more.

That's trying to cram 3 full days into one really. I agree with Uwe that it would be impossible
Having been to Italy before making the choice of what to see & do is always tough.
I have had 3 non-successful attempts to get to Capri I am hoping to make it there this July.
Pompeii & Sorrento are both awesome too.
The Amalfi Cooast drive is just breathtaking.

Another option is to go by ferry from Naples (left from the cruise terminal) to Amalfi, and from ther with the bus to Sorrento. The train will bring you back to Naples (Main station). There take a taxi to the sip. It needs about six to seven hours for this trip.

Dear Jeanieym,
I have to agree with the other contributors you would do well to cover Naples and Pompeii in one day. We stayed in Sorrento in the previous two years and travelled independently last year to Pompeii using the train from Sorrento, and Sorrento to Naples by Ferry, they are both very accesible but you could spend at least six hours at Pompeii. Capri is a full day and I would say out the question. On the day we travelled to Naples we met a couple who were on the QE2 and they had done Pompeii and then went on the open top bus tour of Naples of which there are three routes, they only managed two of the routes due to the heavy traffic before returning to the ship. Hope this helps.

We were in Naples on Princess last year and they offered the tour that you're attempting to do. If you want to do all three, book the ship's tour. If your tour bus is late, they'll wait. If you're on your own and late, you'll be buying a plane ticket to the next port of call.
We chose not to do that tour, because it seemes like you would spend most of the day traveling and very little sightseeing.
I would (and did) choose a tour with only 2 main stops, Sorrento & Pompeii. That way we had more time to see the sights.
