Need help with destination ports PLEASE
We are going to Copenhagen, Denmark,Stockholm, Sweden, Helsinki, Finland, St. Petersburg, Russia, Tallinn, Estonia, Berlin (Warnemunde), Germany, Aarhus, Denmark, and Oslo, Norway in May.
I am trying to figure out transportation at each port. SO far I know if we want to go Berlin, that the train is the way to go. But other then that, I'm at a lost.
Can anyone help out and point me in the right direction PLEASE!!!!!!! :)
Some of the ports are within walking distance depending how much you like to walk. Estonia is walkable. Copenhagen is a nice but a longer walk taking a path around the harbor. The end of May should be pretty with flowers in bloom. The other ports are a short taxi ride or the cruise line should have shuttle service. The cruise line may charge a nominal fee for the shuttle per person each way.
I can help with Oslo and St.Petersburg,,
under Ports section,,,a reader tells about Oslo,,under Norway ports,,,can take HOHO bus or bus with pass near Oslo Port...for St.Pete,,,,if you take a taxi,,,long ride from port,,,at least where we docked....and DO get exact instructions for getting back,,etc...in Russian,,we had a lot of trouble getting back,,,spoke NO Russian,,and he spoke NO English...we ended up taking ship exc.next day,,,then just leaving it after,,at city center,,,and took ANOTHER taxi,,back,,,WITH Russian note from ship,,,,can learn from our mistake.....have a great trip...going to Oslo in May on Norway cruise.
