Ruby Princess Med cruise 9/1-13, 2011 ports advice needed

Just booked this cruise with my cousin, who recently lost her husband. I've been reading all the posts on the ports so getting a good idea what to expect. Staying at Hotel Violino D'Oro in Venice day before and Hotel 1898 in Barcelona for a night. My question - I have a bad back problem and have to use a walker for walking. Would it be better to do private tours in Athens, Istanbul and/or other ports (Venice, Sthens, Kusadasi, Istanbul, Mykonos, Naples, Rome, Florence, Monte Carlo and Barcelona)?

All tour operators, whether private or cruise line sanctioned, are prepared to assist those with mobility issues. Just make sure you review the physical requirements/recommendations and don't book something that involves lots of steps or walking.
