Default European cruise
I have a 7-day RCL cruise scheduled in November which leaves from Venice and ends up in Barcelona and I'm concerned about the weather and flooding and cold weather and not being able to enjoy it. I'm looking for advice. I have a 12 day cruise scheduled on Celebrity for Sept. basically to same ports but it's double the price so I don't know which is best???? Thanks!

I went on a Mediterranean cruise out of Barcelona in the beginning of December several years ago. The weather was nice about mid 50's to 60. September would be warmer. Overall the weather would be better for Venice in September for Venice.

I agree that Nov is nice weather. I did the same itinerary in June and Aug and the heat for me was overwhelming and I would go Oct or later for the cooler weather. To me both lines are excellent maybe RCCL being more family orientated and lively and Celebrity perhaps more upscale and quiet.... to me anyway.

What are the ports on each cruise? That would be among the deciding factors for me.

Yes, expect cooler temps (50F) and rain in November. We went in April when the temps were in the 50s and it was quite comfortable. Then again, we're from the northeast U.S., so this wasn't so bad after winter. September is warmer, but not hot like in the summer months.

Still, I'd be looking at the ports.

Thumbs up IF all being equal re ports
Id do the Celebrity, you say twice the price, but also twice the time.Seven rather than twelve, plus the weather will be much nicer is Sept. And IMO its a nicer cruiseline.
