I haven't stayed there, but I googled the hotel and then mapped it. The hotel looks awesome and I may stay there on my next visit to Barcelona because it has a great fitness center.
The location is not as good as some of your other potential choices, as it is located on Av Diagonal, which is the main drag out of town, so to speak. You would need to taxi to Las Ramblas, the Gothic District, the inner harbor and the main shopping areas above said tourist areas. If it is your first visit to Barcelona, you might want to be more centrally located.
