Luggage Storage in Venice?

We're doing a round-trip Mediterranean cruise out of Venice in September. Our hotel for the night is outside of the city center about 25 minutes.

Do any of you know if there's a place in the city center where we can store our luggage for a few hours so we don't have to take it to the hotel and come back?

We'll be there for four days before the cruise and will be staying 5 min from St. Mark's, but our flight home leaves very early the next morning, and I had to get a hotel near the airport.

There is a place in the Piazale Roma where you can store your luggage, but it will cost you 5 Euros per piece. You can find info at
