Hi Pattie, This was my favorite port, getting to spend overnite helps. You will take Vaporettos(water taxis) and getting on the right line can be interesting, I went to About.com and looked at Venice routes and it looks like the 13 line goes to Burano, we took a RCI cruise excursion that took us to Murano and Burano and getting from place to place was helpful, and then we ventured out on our own. It is a fun place just to wander. Put Venice or Burano in your find section and there alot of good info (drlivingston has some great little tidbits.)

Pattie, You might want to simply buy a 36 or 48 hour Vaporetto pass which gives you unlimited use of all the Vaporettos. You can find info and the current prices at
http://www.actv.it/english/nav...na=tariffe_vaporetto You can than use the vaporettos to get to Murano, Burano, Torcello, Lido, or to get around Venice. Those multi-day passes are not cheap (48 hours is 28 Euros) but keep in mind that a single vaporetto ticket is 6.5 Euros. Hank |
