I am SO thankful for your information...we are struggling with trying to determine Cruise tours or going on our own...the cruise tours are SO expensive and I don't want to be herded like cattle. We are going to try Ekol for Kusadasi and Istanbul...anymore tips. My husband and are are newbies and this will probably be our one and only time to take this wonderful trip....any other helpful tips...Thanks

i always have a place in my heart for Texans since we used to live in big "D" a few years ago. If you want more port info please post you itinerary and any specific questions. As I have previously posted, if you have personal issues with giving EKOL a deposit, there is another company "Hello Ephesus" that is quickly building a good reputation and does not require deposits. In the past year EKOL has routinely been offering a sale with 25% off of their tours and I suspect this is because of the new competition from Hello Ephesus.

Hank's information has been right on. Hello Ephesus is a little slow to respond but we have found them to be a bit cheaper than Ekol. Full payment is given to the guide at the end of the tour. Our quote from Ekol did not indicate a 25% discount and they were about $24 USD more expensive than Hello Ephesus. Hope this helps.
