Dolphins in Gibralta

I have heard there are two types of dolphin around the port of Gibralta, has anyone stopped off there and had any sightings? We will be there in August.

Wow! Dolphins in Gibraltar! Ok, I give up. Been to Gibraltar 6 times and never saw a Dolphin although there sure are monkeys. I suggest you Google the port and learn. As to Dolphins, the truth is that they can be anywhere in the ocean (and often are) and if you really want to see them up close and personal go to the Baltimore Aquarium. There is also excellent aquariums in San Diego and Genoa (its new and really nice). As to Gibraltar, enjoy the Rock, the monkeys, duty-free shopping, and the cafes.

I think one of the most unique things about Gibraltar was the highway to the Rock. It cut right across the the landing strip at the airport and traffic had to stop every time a plane came in or left--like waiting for a train at a crossing.

And no, I didn't see any dolphins either; but the monkeys are a real kick.
