Are kids allowed to be in the casino area at all? Just to watch of course, if my hubby or I was to decide to stop for a few minutes. (10 minutes at the most).

The Carnival web site says you must be 18 to be in the casino. I see why, but it is a bummer for us too. We are cruising with our 3 yr old this time.

Children are not allowed in the Casino. They will ask you to take them out, too. Your hubby can stop and play for a little while, and you could take the kids to the arcade or a walk or for a soda or something. There are hallways through the casino, and they can walk through there, just cannot stop at the machines.

Thank you for the answer, my hubby was wondering that the other day.

Carnival is pretty good at making sure kids are not in the casino. You can walk through the casino with a child in tow but if you stop you will be told to take them out. You would not be able to stop for 10 minutes. There are slot machines on the outside edges of the casinos where you or you hubby could play and the child and other parent could watch from the hallway but there isn't a whole lot of fun in doing that.

Of course, that doesn't mean people obey the rules. Too many times I have seen parents ignoring the casino hosts announcements about "no children being allowed in the casino" when they are clearly being aimed at them.

If you want to play in the casino together, you are going to have to do it while your children are at Camp Carnival.

On the Holiday a couple years ago I had my son with me as we walked through the casino. Near the exit I stopped at a slot machine to make a quick one-time pull of the lever. Before I could put the dollar in the machine an employee came over and told me my son had to leave...."now".

Yup I have seen them being that strict also Dave. But on our last Holiday cruise I watch in amazement as kids were standing in the casino with their mother playing the "push-a-quarter" game as the casino host made 2 announcements about no children allowed... He finally had to walk over and talk to them directly.

I didn't intend on my previous post to make it sound like there was a chance that the kids would be let in to the casino... I was just saying that I have seen them in there for short times.

As has already been noted, the answer is no. Since you are going on the Carnival Glory, if your kids are of the age they can sit within sight on the Promenade you may be able to play for a few minutes. The Glory has a walk through casino along the Promenade as Penny mentioned. They cannot come up to, or near the machines though.
