We cruised with Royal to the caribbean with 2 13yo boys(friends, not twins!)
And we saw a whale
we also saw Dolphins at sunset over dinner..which my husband insists he orded special.
You will have a great time. I'm with you though, i want my vacation to be warm!
Thank you Penny and Poormom for your responses. I got some great suggestions and ideas from all of you.
We ended up booking on the Carnival Glory. We decided (finally) on the Caribbean (Eastern), and were going to go on RCI, but since we are late in booking there was a huge price difference ($2500-ouch!) so we decided to give Carnival a try. I know they have lots for the kids to do and only 3 stops, which I like.
I'll jump over to the Carnival and Caribbean boards for more specific questions now.
Poormom- a whale in the Caribbean?? Wow... I didn't know they came that far south. I won't hold my breath for it, but good to know that there is a possibility. I imagine we'll see a few dolphins so the kids will be excited about that. Hubby and I too!
I have just returned from an Alaskan cruise with my young family and created a highly informative website regarding cruising with young children. Please see http://www.lumuc.com/sapphireprincess/ for details. Hope you find this site useful
My wife and I booked a cruise last year and we had alot of questions too. I found www.discover-cruises.co.uk to be really helpful. Obviously you've booked now, but we used the cruise genie to find our cruise.
I think their FAQ section should be able to help you! good luck and happy cruising!
