Royal Caribbean beverage & alcohol packages

Hello,

My husband and I are going on the Mariner of the Seas, 12 night holy land cruise departing October 20.
Can anyone please help me with whether we should pre-purchase juice\water & alcohol packages or just purchase what we want on the ship??
Any advice would be appreciated.

You can buy the various drink packages on the ship on embarkation day. The price is the same as pre-ordering. I'd wait until the cruise. Plus this gives you the chance to ask questions before buying.

Just trying to budget. I see the drink packages, but would rather not do that and just pay by the drink. I have only cruised on princess before, so I am unsure of tipping protocol, etc. on RC. Any idea what frozen drinks & well mixed drinks are?
