Do jazz artists generally play cruise ships? Perhaps certain cruise lines are more likely to have a jazz group, or artist, play as on board entertainment than others?

I know a lot of RC ships actually have Jazz Bars.

I love jazz myself but I'm sorry to say I've never heard a good jazz group on any Princess ship. Their production shows are spectacular and their dance combos are pretty good--but no jazz or blues
I have seen jazz-themed cruises advertised from time to time on Holland America--you might check them out.

Crystal, Cunard, Holland America, and Regent all have jazz themed cruises.

Just returned from cruise on Zaandam to Hawaii and found to our suprise after we boarded that there was JAZZ. Seems alot of the passengers were with JazzDagen, a cruise and tour company that books jazz cruises and such. They use many different cruise lines. Check them out at jazzdagen.com.
They sure made our first cruise memorable.
