Well said, Dave;
I remember a time when a weekend in San Diego and trip to the zoo or Sea World was a major event; although we still love San Diego and now love taking the grandsons to Sea World.
Hi everyone! I recently found this site and have been reading avidly. Great info! We leave May 25 on the Mercury to Alaska. This is our 3rd cruise, but the 1st to Alaska. Can't wait!
Be aware (since you will be flying into Santiago, Chile) that you will have (to stand in line) to pay a USD $100 fee (reciprocity fee I think they call it) at the airport BEFORE you go through Immigration/Customs. This was something new that we were not aware of - they do take Visa, MC, AMEX, etc. Have a great trip - you'll love the Chilean fjords!
Glad you enjoyed your cruise. Cannot wait.
We have a balcony cabin booked.
I learned about the $100 online actually.
Was told it was to be paid in cash & they liked crisp new bills!!! Don't we all, right??
That's good they take Visa - at least I can get some air miles
Only six weeks and we will fly to Miami, take a car to ride to Ft. Lauderdale. Have an overnight stay in the Sheraton Yankee Trader and will board the Radiance for a b2b to the western and eastern Caribbean. It will be our second time on the Radiance and after these to cruises we will be Diamond Members.
