We're leaving on the Costa Magica out of Ft. Lauderdale for the Caribbean in December. We're on the Emerald next November out of Ft. Lauderdale for the Caribbean, great itinerary and a new ship. I need to hit the lottery so I can go more often!!
We are going to the Caribbean on the Radiance in EIGHT days! Can't wait!
Then to Alaska on the Diamond Princess next May. It will be our first Alaskan cruise and we are looking forward to it. Although living in Illinois in November (Brrrr) makes me think we are nuts to be so anxious to go to Alaska!
Nadine, I totally agree. We have no desire to go to Alaska. Sure, I heard it's beautiful, but if I want to see snow and ice, I can open my front door in February. We normally cruise in the fall, and look forward to the nice sun and beaches of the Caribbean!

I am trying to book a cruise to either
South America
Panama Canal or another caribbean.
I may do a NYC to Seattle.
I want to leave from NYC, Miami or NO.
As you can see by my cruise ticker, I'm sailing out of Santiago (Valparaiso), Chile around the Horn to Rio in a couple of weeks (did fly out of Miami to get to Santiago).
Inside passage is gorgeous and the only ice you see when you cruise in the summer is at the glaciers. You have a totally wrong view of Alaska, its not snow, ice and igloos, its the most gorgeous scenery I have ever seen. I was born in Anchorage but left when I was two. Now I have been up there every year for the last 4 and wouldnt mind going again. You should check out the Travel Channel when they have trips to Alaska. I live in Minnesota and Anchorage has had easier winters than we have had, and Im only 30 miles from the Iowa border, not way up north. Try it, you will not be disappointed. 70s up there is shorts weather.
