Well, congrats to all who have achieved this lofty recognition. I, on the other hand, am a master... well, I am good at... hmmm, I tend to excel in... All right, fine, I am useless at about any application of brain cells. Bartender, make the next one a double!!
On the CLIA topic, a certain person from a certain hotel group got themselves into trouble with an MCC. It is on page 2 of the current issue of Travel Trade.
Penny,
The number of cruises you have to take for ACC and MCC aren't that many. You would have that block already filled. It's the ship inspections and other course work that's the hard part.
Sign me up, I'd love to get into the meat of the ships. I took a travel agent course years ago, it was a 3 month certificate cirriculum including learning SABRE. I worked part-time in an agency for one of my jobs, but just couldn't keep up all the hours. Maybe when I retire I could try, I'm sure it's a dream job as well as a nightmare...but maybe, just maybe I could do it.

Penny, of course you could do it! I've been a travel agent for about 22 years, and believe me, there have been very few times that the job has been a nightmare. Just do what you love. I love the travel industry, and the cruise industry in particular. It's easy to sell your own passion for something, and I'm passionate about cruises!

Sandy,
I feel pretty much the same way. I wouldn't say it's ever been a nightmare either. But I think my eye brows and hair might be a little thinner from a lot of frustrating times. Like when people are on their way to a cruise and their flights are cancelled!
That's amazing to hear, I would have thought you would be blamed for everything that went wrong. I work in computer services for a university. If the internet goes down because of a power failure, spyware, equipment failure, whatever, it's my fault. Actually, most any computer problem is my fault. Ok, retirement job sounds promising!
