I'll never understand the people who spend their entire cruise at the bar. They wait all year to get away and probably don't even remember half of their trip. Then spend the rest of the time feeling lousy.

Someone sitting around the bar for their whole cruise doesn't impact me. After all, a cruise is about doing what you want to do and not what others think you should be doing. The same could be said about those who spend every waking hour in a lounge chair getting a tan, or those who spend every available hour in the casino. It's what they want to do on their cruise. I'm not going to judge them or dwell on their choices.

Why do I feel self conscious now?

I do spend a couple of hours every day at the Lido bar in the late afternoon. It is funny because my friends know I'll be there and come by to say hi and have a drink with me while discussing the day. "So and So said you'd be at the bar at 4 o'clock". I've met some very interesting people at the bar.

Another Pet Peeve - People who sneak down early on debarkation day and remove their tips so the people that served them all week won't know until they're gone. I witnessed a group of people doing this on my last cruise.

THose people who will NOT MOVE when the elevator door opens to let you out. They stand there pushing there way IN - before they let anybody OUT. HOW STUPID.

And gum smackers, I hate gum smackers.

Let me rephrase that. I was thinkng more of the folks who simply pound down drink afer drink.
The news stories of the honeymoon couples who are so drunk that they fall off the ship at 3 am come to mind.
I enjoy sipping a cocktail or two and people watching as much as the next tourist!

Thanks for the clarification Marsha. As always, people need to show personal accountability for their actions or their excess.

I totally agree! If I'm outside waiting to get in when the door opens, my automatic action is to step aside and put my hand over the door sensor to keep it from closing to let people out.

It is stupid. I've jokingly mentioned before about mandatory tests for people before they should be allowed onboard.

Another one - People who insist on airing their "dirty laundry" in public so to speak. I mean people that argue in public. I don't want to hear about their problems. I'm on vacation!

My #1 Pet Peeve is RUDENESS of any kind. I guess I am from the "old school" and follow the creed of "do unto others as you would have them do unto you." Very simple concept but many people on cruises find it difficult.

It's the vinager that is in the ketchup that makes it smell after awhile.
