Mine is people booking return air too early.

Some examples of my pet peeves:

1) I know the ship docks at 8 am and I booked my flight for 9:30 am and the airport is an hour away, can I make.

2) I tried to sneak booze on board and they got me--I'm mad at them and won't sail them again.

Lets hear yours.

But remember this is just for fun.

I guess my biggest "pet" peeve is when my cat doesn't use the litter box!

Seriously, I try not to have pet peeves, yet I do. My number one would be drive by posters that didn't take the time to ask questions here on the forum. Yet, through some miracle they find us to post a rant.

My number two is people that have one thing go wrong on their cruise, and then they start looking for any thing else they can complain about. "My cruise was awful, everything was terrible".

That is with the assumption the pet peeves were about the forum posts. I can make an extensive list of peeves about how people behave onboard the ships.

People tasting the food while in line at the ships buffet.

The flight time is a good one. Asking about it before they book is one thing, but those who pull the trigger and book the way-too-early air and THEN come here to ask if they screwed up are the real champions.

I hate to sound like Andy Rooney and realize they are colloquialisms, but when you see it a few hundred times a year it tends to wear a person down. So here we go:

The "best" questions. "Which tour is best?" "Which ship is best?" "What port is the best?" "Which cruise line has the best food?" "Who has the best cabins?"

Close behind the above are those who I do not know, and have no idea what their preferences are, who ask questions along the lines of "which cruise line should I choose?" or "will I like Carnival?"

Disgusting. How about those who paw through the hot dog and hamburger rolls with their hands even though the tongs are sitting right there?

I was thinking this was needing to be moved to the lido deck area but since we are sticking with cruising/cruise chat posting pet peeves then I guess it is ok here in General....

Mine- Watching kids who obviously have colds wandering through the buffet line and helping themselves (with and without the tongs).

People who leave their room service trays in the hallways to stink things up.

Nothing quite like the odor of plates smeared with ketchup sitting in the passageway. What is it about ketchup that it tastes good on food but the residue on plates starts smelling after a little while?

How about those who prance around the buffet bare foot, even though the sign says shoes required? Do they ever look at the floor? And then they return to the pool.

I may never eat in a buffet or enter a pool again.

I am not sure if these qualify as "Pet Peeves". But I did not enjoy this behavior from my fellow passengers:

- OH YES! THE POOL DECK LOUNGE CHAIR SAVERS!!! Some people think they can place there plate of food, drink, book or other personal item on a lounge chair on or around the pool deck, and it's theirs (sometimes for the whole day). I liked the funny statement one of the members here said (words to the effect): "I don't have to ever shop for any books, sunglasses or towels. I can just walk around the pool deck during my cruise

With regard to the Buffet. I hate it when people are really slow deciding what to get, and then when you pass them, they give you an angry look as if you are cutting infront of them in line.

I have more... but I had better give someone else a turn.

Part of the problem is poor buffet design, but I know what you mean. On many ships they put the toast at the end of the main breakfast buffet lines. So if I just want another piece of toast and nothing else I have to get the look of evil from those back in the line getting their scrambled eggs and bacon. It's like "you are supposed to fall in line and wait 20 minutes until you get to the toast!"

For the serving islands they have for some buffets, there is a misconception that these should be lines. To me they are more a "go to the tray you want and help yourself" set up, but the "line up" mentality seems to rule.

So the pet peeve for this is: poorly designed buffet lines

Actually I think Balconies should be thought of as our own homes are......think of your don't need to yell and make tons of noise on your balcony. Just because YOU are awake doesn't mean we all are! Same goes for hallway noise.
