Weather in Sept/Oct - Mexican Riviera

Trying to figure out the best time to take the Carnival Pride and not have to take my son out of school. He has a break at the beginning of October. Can anyone tell me what the weather is like down there at that time of the year and if we would have any problems. Next break would be mid-march 2008 which raises the price quite a bit on the cruise fare.

It is still pretty warm, even in October with the possibility of a tropical storm; but it's nothing to worry about--the ship can avoid any unpleasantness. And the heat really is not a problem; the ship is air-conditioned and has pools and lots of shade. And all the ports-of-call have beach activities. So go and enjoy.
