Vacation Queen,
My husband and I will be on the Mariner 2-06 also. You are the first person I have seen in here that is going the same time we are.Hope you are as excited as we are. Don't worry about the virus, just take precautions, such as washing your hands to death, lol. It would be nice to meet some of the people here that will be cruising together.I just had a thought! wouldn't it be nice to have a public message board on the ship so ppl like us could connect?
Anyway, the days are going by too slow for me.

Nancy, thanks again for calming my nerves about the Superbowl. I don't know if you remember but about a month ago you were actually the research I spoke about - "I did some research and I didn't think it would be an issue before I booked, but after a couple of remarks from fellow cruise-chaters, they got me a little nervous." I think I got nervous all over again because before it was "If the Patriots are in....., but now there's no IF, they're in. Then I read the thread "Superbowl" and a couple of people said they didn't have it televised at all, and one person said it was in Spanish (hey I'll take Spanish!)
As if being on a cruise wasn't freaking awesome enough, As if having the Patriots in the Superbowl, wasn't fantastic enough, I've been gloating to people-"Guess where I'm watching the Superbowl?" It would just be a real kick in the you know what if I didn't get to start my vaca off with seeing the Pats take home another Vince Lombardi trophy!

Hey there Linda,
Yes, I'm super excited about going away, and just can't beleive that it's less than 2 weeks away-Holy cow...11 days! Especially after all this snow that the North East just got bombarded with, the fact that I'll be in the Caribbean soon seems like just a dream. This is my second cruise (the first one was only 3 days so it hardly counts), and my boyfriend's first. We are travelling with another couple and we're all just so excited. We're all from Cape Cod, in our mid to late 20's, and of course like to have a good time! So how about you, have you cruised before?

I wouldn't worry too much about the Norwalk virus. I would suspect that the Mariner of the Seas is the cleanest place on Earth right about now....VBG.

Have a great cruise!

Hey, Tom:
Great way to look at the Norw. virus. RCI cannot afford the publicity of having too many people sick, too many times, so it does make sense that they would be cleaning like crazy.

I still plan to take all the handwashing and disinfectant gel precautions; I hope no one comes on with the flu to make everyone else sick. Anyone know if they sell Lysol spray at the airport?
