I found a new website where you can locate a given cruise ship and read off precise, real time location, wind speed, air temps, wave heights, and much more. Go to:

click on shiptracker
click on cruise ship tracker
choose Island Princess (for example)
go to "plot position of ship with call sign" ie ZCDG4 for Island Princess
click search

All of this information will be shown on your screen. Amazing!

Dave, that is the sight where I watched the Holiday while you were aboard. It seemed to stay in one sector for days. I don't how quickly it updates.

Now, I am looking at Explorer of the Seas still in Miami.

Bob & Bev, I don't know if you knew about this site: http://www.kroooz-cams.com/

Chef Ken,

Yes I stumbled onto Kroooxe-cams while checking out Ship Tracker. That too is an interesting sight where you can find webcams on all cruise lines. I don't know how quickly Tracker updates, but I would think cruise ships much like aircraft need to update their positions and weather conditions on a regular basis.

Amazing what you can find on the internet.

Thanks...This is a great link. I just wish we could find out what conditions and temperatures will be like for an April 22nd eastbound transatlantic. We cruised many times but have never done a crossing and are unsure of what to expect on the Atlantic.
