hi people.. could any one tell me what is this wait list for the dining room?? I booked in dec 06 for the diamond req first seating ... now I notice I am on waiting list #145
The wait list is just that, you are on the waiting list to get first seating dinning. Should people who have 1st seating cancel the cruise or change seating, they pull people from the waiting list to get put into the first seating. I don't know what the number 145 means. I can believe that is your place on the list if you booked last year! Call your travel agent and find out.

Jim C., that's exactly what it is. I booked my wife's upcoming Mexican Riviera cruise just a few months ago--last minute by our standards--and requested second seating/Traditional. Her wait list number was 235. It's gone down a few since the booking but I doubt if she will get in by October 6.
Actually, they do for us normal folk Sonny. Maybe you super double platinum with encrusted diamond Crown and Anchor members get first choice. But on our Mariner cruise we asked for early seating (my wife can not eat late or she gets sick) and we were wait listed, but we got into the first seating anyway. I'm just shocked that the OP could be #145 having booked over a year in advance.

We've been wait listed quite a few times and normally book a year in advance. When Princess did it, we went with Anytime and have stayed there since. Costa wait listed us for main and placed us in late, thankfully we were able to get into main. We were #38, though. But, it was a Christmas cruise, so I felt lucky to make it.
