First time cruiser

Me and my friend are planning to go on a cruise to mexico. But we dont know one thing about how to plan it. Would it be easier going through a travel agent? Whats a good cruise ship to go on for young adults? Thank you

Welcome to cruise chat Ash. If you are talking about a western Mexican Cruise (Pacific), Carnival would be a great cruise line for you. Lots of choices on ports, ships, and length of cruise. You should talk with a travel agent and have them figure out your best options based on your likes/dislikes about vacations.

Yes, contact a travel agent who specializes in cruises and tell him/her what you're looking to get out of your vacation. They will plan your cruise out perfectly according to your likes and dislikes.

You will thoroughly enjoy cruising to Mexico(eastern or western are both equally beautiful)

You have a huge selection of cruises to choose from, and I suggest that you do your research and then see a TA. Also, there are some excellent cruises that go round trip from Los Angeles and San Diego. And if I were a first timer I would look at RCCL and Princess, as there cruise lines are the all purpose cruise lines. This means that they have something for everyone at a reasonable price. Celebrity is for persons who enjoy a ship with a European ambiance and HAL is really for older affluent, retired persons. Both Celebrity and HAl are outstanding cruise lines. Carnival is for younger cruisers who could care less about food and service.

The above is based on my 17 cruises and an 18th to alaska coming up in three weeks.
