Just got an email from SeaDream Yacht club. They're offering T/As huge savings on certain dates this summer to the Med. If you were thinking of a trip on a budget it's way too good to be true pricing. I'm checking airfares now, think if I can find the time I'm in. They're short, only 7 days but they're nearly giving them away!
Rick, I just checked airfares and have no miles to use. The airfare for me at this point simply puts it out of reach. What a shame because that's the one line I'd most like to cruise among any lines in existence. I wish I could give this oppt'y away, I'd put you on the ship in a heartbeat. The rate represents a 97% savings off the brochure rate. It hurts to pass up.
Thanks for the help Penny, SeaDream doesn't offer air, they have no Air/Sea Dept or packages. I've scouered the earth and internet. I even talked to a friend who has a private plane capable of such flights. If there is a way without higher cost than I'm willing to bear for the air right now, I'm missing it. I even checked some R/T air and a day of train travel at the front or back end to get from one port to the other. It's just bad timing that it came up now. Other factors in play that make it more unlikely than probable. Was fun to work on with high expectations, just not feasible.
Ah, after re-reading your post, I got what you were talkig about. The QM2 over and back. I can't take that much time off but it was a great idea!
