Transportation to Port and to Airpot

I have a question here for eveyrone. This will be my wife and I's second cruise, the first one on the Carnival Victory. We are going to be traveling on the Enchantment of the Seas on 5/18/03. I have a question for everyone regarding transportation to the port from Ft Lauderdale Airport, should we just go ahead and go with Royal Carribean's bus transist option or should we just get a taxi on our own? The same question regarding when we get off the ship for transist back to the airport. Any suggestions?

Take a cab. It's not too far from the airport to the cruise terminal and I think you will find that it's cheaper than the cruise line bus. (more convenient too) Bobby

Do you think we would be okay with catching a taxi from the Ft Lauderdale port to the Ft Lauderdale airport in time for a 12:30PM flight? I have only sailed on Carnival and don't know if Royal Carribean disembarks any easier.
