Just wanted to see if anyone has ever had a t- shirt they bought, in this case from Jamaica & have it disintegrate in the wash? I bought a t-shirt as a gift & when they washed it in cold water it completely fell apart. It was in tiny little pieces. I didn't spend a fortune for it but that's not the point. We are guessing that they must use some kind of chemical or something. Just wanted to see if anyone has an explanation.

Never had that happen with any of the t-shirts I've purchased anywhere. I've bought at least 1/2 dozen in Jamaica.

Well for sure the T's we bought in Jamaica were very cheaply made but I have never seen one self destructive in the was. Something must have been wrong with the fabric to begin with.

Here's what you do. You call up your travel agent and book another cruise with a stop in Jamaica. Then take the shirt with you and visit the same shop and exchange it for a new one. You can't let people get away with things like that! If the replacement also falls apart, you just book another cruise and another until you get a decent T-Shirt !! That's what I would do !

Seriously, I have never had that happen. I've had some shrink before though. If I am buying T's now, I check the tag for a familiar brand.
