Has anyone sailed either a New England/Canada itinerary or the Western coast of Mexico in October. How was the weather and were there any rough seas. I want to know what my risks for sea sickness are compared to the Carribean or Alaskan cruises I have experienced.

The Western coast of Mexico shouldn't be any rougher than your Carribean cruise.

One of our Canada/New England cruises was during the month of October. The seas varied -- some places were smooth while we had rough seas in another, on the same cruise! Weather up here varies. For the record, though, we've experienced worse seas in the western Caribbean, also in October/November timeframe.

The best remedy I've found for seasickness, in the off-chance you'll need it, is an apple. A crew member suggested it to me years ago.

I did the New England cruise in August and had smooth sailing. Everything depends on the weather. How rough the seas were in past October's won't have any bearing on any future October sailing. One good this is October ends the hurricane season. Depending on which ship you'll be sailing on, it has to get pretty rough before you will notice much movement.
