Can anyone recommend a reasonable clean hotel to stay at in Fort Lauderdale the night before we cruise?

La Quinta at Fort Lauderdale Airport. They'll even give you a shuttle ride to the ship.

we stayed in the embassy suites before a cruise last year and i would recommend it to anybody

We stayed at the Sleep Inn in Dania. Free shuttle to and from the airport/pier; free breakfast; right next door to a Walgreens for last minute shopping; across the street from a Publix grocery store and small strip mall with three restaurants.
