Which side of the ship?

In getting a balcony or oceanview room....from Ft Lauderdale, through the Panama Canal and ending in Acapulco, Mexico...is one side better than the other???

I depends, I you like to watch other ships, the port side is better as the ships in panama canal most often meets port side to port side..

Yes, occasionally a ship goes through the locks on the left side, but most often on the right side, which gives the port side balconies the best view, not only of the other ships, but the workings of the locks as well.

Island Princess and Coral Princess have some great cabins all the way aft that give you views not only to the side but aft as well. On the portside, that would be cabins A722, B734, C728 (a mini-suite, and my first choice), and D726; E736 has an equipment obstruction and I would not recommend it. While these cabins have great views, they are not necessarily conveniently located, so that should be taken into account.

f-mattox - In the case of the photo I note that starboard cabins offer a substantial ocean view!!Sort of gives new meaning to the term "sea day"!!!
