I think that some people drink more on a cruise than they normaly would.
Drinks are offered almost everywhere you are on the ship. And even in port alcohol is readily available.I think Our mentality changes a bit ,lol, when we are away from the drudge of the job and all the stress of keeping home and hearth together.
I would just like to add a warning tho. If you become a problem on the ship due to over drinking they can disembark you. And that means whatever port you are in!
I was on my way back to the ship in ST. Thomas, when a fellow passenger ,that I did not know, accosted me.He clearly did not know what he was doing he was so drunk! I am handicapped and ride a scooter and he tried to push me off my scooter so he could ride!He said he was too tired to walk any further...we were on the dock right at the ship at the time.
The attendant at the ramp where you get back on the ship(he wasn't the captain, but he was wearing white, not sure what his title is) was told of this and he told us the man would be disembarked immediatly. Now whether they did this or not,I don't know....But they can if the situation calles for it! He said that kind of behavior would not be tolerated on board The Mariner. I don't know what would have happened to me if two other men had not come along and helped remove this man! He fell all over me while trying to get my scooter.
Course, I know my scooter is a pretty little thing what with her Flames and all, lol, but she is mine!!! and I don't share !!!lol.Still had a wonderful cruise!
