3 year old and a 8 month old

My husband and I have cruised many times before we had our children. I am planning a cruise for summer of 2006, and as I am expecting right now, the baby will be 8 months by the summer, and my first child will be almost 3 years old by then.

I would like to ask other experienced cruisers, which itinerary would you suggest we take, and which cruise line (so that we would not be disciminated or eyed at with such young children on the ship).

Excellent food,and a large ship are most important factor for us.

If you plan on putting your almost 3 year old into one of the childrens program, then NCL or Carnival would be the best choice. They have great programs for the kids. Of course the 8 month old will not be able to participate, but the older child will have a great time. Royal Caribbean is a great line, but if the childrens program is a factor then stick with either Carnival or NCL since Royal Caribbean sticks clearly to the rule that the child must be 3 years old and potty trained to be in their program. I really believe that Carnival is a more kid friendly line than NCL, but others might disagree with this.
