What is the best (most cost efficient) way to get to the Miami Port from the airport in Fort Lauderdale?

Tri-County Express offers a shuttle/shared ride service from the FLL Airport to the Port of Miami for $17 pp. They have a counter right outside baggage claim.

Four of us may be doing this next May since flying Song to FLL is cheaper than flying to MIA right now. Any idea what a taxi costs compared to 4 x $17 ($68) for the shuttle?

Wizard,
we paid for a taxi from Miami Airport to South Beach 24 $ for two persons plus tip.
And Ft. Lauderdale is much more longer distance.
But maybe you can find on the website from Lauderdale airport a list with taxizones, so you can compare prices.
We have done that for Miami too.
