My husband and I are planning a cruise in early June. It will be our 6th. We've had a cabin with a porthole, but usually book inside cabins. We're considering a balcony this time. Is it worth the extra money?

It depends on where you're going. Alaska and Panama Canal I would consider a must. We've done balconies now on our last 5 cruises, and won't go back to cabins without. The newer ships have a lot of balcony staterooms, and the difference is minimal. Just nice to be able to sit out and enjoy the scenery in private, even if it's just watching the ocean go by. Hope this helps.
