I see in brochures that many rooms have "two doubles that make up as a queen". How comfortable is that, really? Do they put some kind of bridge across the two, or do you feel the separation?

Lady Vidora,

you do feel the separation in most cases. And to my great surprise, apparently nobody has yet "invented" a kind of "clip" to attach the beds to each other so that they cannot be separated "accidentally". This could be done so easily.

Got another one, why do they call them "lower" beds?

Lady Vidora,

some cabins also have "upper berths" (i.e. pullman beds), that's why "regular beds" are called "lower beds"
