Can anyone please tell me which is correct. I'm leaving on a northwestern flight in one week. i was told by the airport I can bring 2 large suitcases 50lbs a piece and one carry on. I was then told by my travel agency that I could only bring 1 suitcase of 50lbs max and 1 carry on. Can someone please tell me which is correct. I don't want the airport to take a suitcase away from me if im wrong and bring too much.

Also is their a limit to how much you can bring aboard the cruise ship (marinear of the seas)

I'd go straight to the source -- click HERE for current information directly from the Northwest Air Web site.

Presently, you may check two bags (charge applies for more than 50 lbs. or 62 linear inches) and carry on one bag (up to 40 lbs. and 45 linear inches). You may also carry on a purse or small backpack less than 15"x11"x6". Again, check back with the Northwest site as your cruise gets closer for up-to-date information.

I just got back from a flight to Vancouver to set sail on an Alaska cruise and then flight home from Anchorage. You can have 2 suitcases up to 50 lb a piece and 1 carry-on. We mailed souveniers home to insure we didnt go over our weight limit and we were fine.

I went over the weight limit and they tagged my suit case, but didn't charge me extra. They said they would charge me extra on the flight home. I bought another suitcase the day we left to lighten the load and didn't have any problem when we left Miami.
