If you are talking about a casual night I think it is fine. There is definitely a new variety of dress "jean" than there used to be but the real experts would be Nancy or Tom on this probably.

Gee, Cyndi - Thanks for declaring me an expert. A knee length jean skirt would definitely be acceptable on a casual night. As Cyndi mentioned, "jeans" have come a long way in the fashion department.
