Cruise Discount Coupons

Hi All,

At the suggestion of a friend I just joined an
organization called the World Ocean and Cruise liner society for $30. With the first issue of their newsletter Ocean & Cruise News I received three coupons for joining. One is a Holland America coupon good for a shipboard credit of $50pp or $30pp depending on categor, the second is a Radisson coupon good for a $100pp shipboard credit and the third is for a two-category upgrade on Carnival

This seems like a great deal !

But.....

Has anyone ever used these? There doesn't seem to be much "fine print"

Any comments would be appreciated

Price the cruise indepedently of these coupons. They may ONLY be valid on certain fare codes (rates). IE, they may be getting that money out of you in the rates.

However, shipboard credits in that amount is not an uncommon incentive for the cruise lines to offer. So, there probably is very little fine print.

The coupons to watch out for are the ones that say they are only available under certain fare codes, rates, promos. I know of one cruise line that offers a $100 discount coupon everywhere you turn, but you can always get better rates under normal booking, as the coupon is only good off of brochure prices. Its just a trick.
