We are booking a cruise on the Carnival Liberty soon for next May my niece says RCCL seems to closed in for her she says everything is on the inside, like the buffett(sp), and Ice cream shops, I guess my question is what could be such a differance as far as things being to closed in, for the record I love the Freedom of the Seas so I just can't wait to see what this Carnival Liberty has to offer this will be cruise number 2 for me, I am just curious to know if there is a big differance or is it my niece just prefers CCL over RCCL.
There are minor differences in all cruise lines. Preferences are, typically, the result of experience or ignorance. You will never know until you try each of them.
Interesting, since all the food service venues are on the inside of the Carnival Liberty too. My experience is that most RCI ships are quite open - in many ways more so than Carnival's ships.
The issue would be moot between the two if that was a consideration. The Carnival Conquest class ships all have indoor venues, as Dave said about the Liberty.
Spritfilled, I think your niece may have been comparing different cruise lines based on the assumption all the ships are the same of that cruise line.
For example: All of the Carnival Fantasy class ships do have outdoor food service venues.
And I like that as well. I like being by the pool or on the upper deck watching the ocean and just walking to get a burger or something to eat outside without going inside.
To be honest though it would not be a determining factor for me. Best wishes for your decision.
