Any one taking a cruise out of a Florida port this weekend should check with the cruise line before going to the port.Or better yet check on line with the port of departure, they all have web sites so that you can check on the particular ship,s time of arival and departure. All trhe port's were closed last year when the storm's got near us, so I assume they will do the same this year. The line's are getting quite long at the gas station's now so by tonight or early Saturday there probabaly won't be any gas.Everyone need's to be prepared.Dennis is on his way.
It is getting very windy here now. Most if not all the of gas are out of gas now.It is about 4 p.m. Friday. It is going to be a very rough weekend as it look's now. Hope everyone is well prepared.I will try to keep you posted. Tom
It is Saturday just after noon. It has been very windy, and we have gotten about 5 in. of rain so far. They say about 5 in. more to come. Dennis has moved quite a bit to the west of us. It is about 125 miles southwest of us right now. should be parralell about 2-2:30p.m. We lucked out this time. Now it is looking very bad for the panhandle. It has also lost wind speed it is only 100mph. right now, so let's hope it does not gain speed.Keep your finger's crossed. Thanks for all the support. Tom
Tom,
Thanks so much for the update. I am glad it appears that you are out of harms way and will hope that you remain so for the entire hurricane season. I must say you Floridians are a hardy breed!
