ok I can't seem to decide on a cruise for april 2007. It is a girls getaway that we do every year. We are in our early 30's. we have cruised on carnival inspiration and rc enchantment. Both alot of fun. We want to do a 5 night cruise and our only options are celebrity century to key west and grand cayman.carnival fantasy to costa maya and cozumel, carnival inspiration to grand cayman and calica mexico, and last rc splendour of the seas to cozumel and costa maya.
We are looking to party relax and enjoy life without the kids for a few days. We do not want a boring ship with an older crowd but we also do not want a ton of kids. We like a nice mix. Has anyone sailed celebrity century since the rehab? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Heatherk, and welcome to Cruise-Chat.com!
Haven't sailed Celebrity Century, so I can't tell you anything about this ship myself.
Here you can see some pictures from the "Century":

I have not been on Century since the refurbishment, but do keep in mind that April is a prime time for families to cruise..spring break in parts of the country. So on that thought, Celebrity would probably be your best bet since they do limit the amount of children on their cruises. Royal Caribbean and Carnival will have lots of kids on the ships.

Carnival's Imagination is another option. I have sailed on the Century since it's refurbishment. It is a very nice ship. You don't say when in April 2007 you plan to sail. Easter is April 9th next year. If you sail the later part of April the kids shouldn't be as bad since they just went back to school. But as Cruise Specialist says you will find the least amount on Celebrity.

I am going first week of april. What is night life like on century? We are looking to party and have fun.Another question has anyone been on rc splendour of the seas? I know it is a older ship but it seems all the 5 night cruises are on older ships.

This will be the first time the Century will be doing 4/5 night cruises in the Caribbean. I think you are going to get a different clientele mix than the normal 7 day or longer Celebrity cruise. However; the Century had a wide variety of entertainment. They have the usually Broadway show, Las Vegas style revue show, comedians. They had a new show on my 12nt cruise that was real nice. The name of the show slips my mind at the moment, but it was a show that they came out in costumes from different countries and danced and sang. For instance like Ireland, they came out and did a River Dance, and then one singer came out by himself and sang Danny Boy and meanwhile a video of the country was showing behnd him. The show also had a little bit of Cirque Soleil. I found the show very enjoyable. The Century also has a nice new Martini Bar, The Observation lounge on top deck has a dj at night and dancing. The aft lounge had a nice band that played a wide variety Rock/country/Beatles/Beach Boys, they were also the band that played by the pool in the day. The Century also has a movie theatre. Michael's has piano music. I think you would enjoy it on a five day.

Well, since you can't decide, I guess you will have to book them all..

Hi Heatherk, are you saying you don't want to sail on the Enchantment again? Because it sails out of Fort Lauderdale on a five night cruise on April 5th. Have you sailed on the Enchantment since it was stretched?

Yes we sailed on enchanment after it was stretched. It was a nice ship but I want a change. My other problem is the cruise has to leave on march 30 31 or april 1 or 2.
