I am looking for a vacation this summer for 2 moms and their 2 14 y/o children for under 1000 a PEICE. just wondering what your thoughts were! Maybe a vacation rental after cruise. 1 room or 2?

Hi Paradise Cruiser, welcome to Cruise-Chat. It's a little difficult to answer your question. Where? After what cruise? Hotel? Condo? All-Inclusive? Florida? What island? Are you asking about an Oceanview hotel room or cruise ship cabin? We'll try to help, but need a little more information.

An oceanview in Key West at the Ocean Key hotel is $479+tax a night. An oceanview at the Savoy, or The Palms on south beach is $389+tax a night. Sandals in Jamaica is around $800/pp, not sure about the oceanview availability there. An oceanview cabin on the Mediterranea which could sleep 4 would run around $1100/pp for the first 2 and $400/pp for the third and fourth. There is a Sandals or something like it in Grand Turk. The all-inclusive I checked on in Bonaire was $5300/pp per week. I don't remember the name of it. Have you talked with a Travel Agent?

I would suggest you, and the other mom, read some reviews so you can narrow your vacation down a little. Talking to a travel agent will also give you some food for thought. It's your choice.

There is NO better vacation bang for your buck than a cruise. Exotic ports, clear water, great food, lots of activities. Under $1000 a person...you could get an incredable cruise for that money!
