i have not been to tampa but we are embarking from there in nov. i went online looking at hotels that offered free airport shuttle and free breakfast that were close to the port...the hilton garden inn in ybor city seemed to fit the bill...it's only a couple miles from the port wo we figured a taxi would be less expensive than a schuttle from one of the airport hotels...it also has an iron and ironing board so you can get all your clothes in shape the night before....also its within walking distance of 50 restaurants...check out their web site...hilton garden inns

Go to www.valuetrips.com and then to Tampa and then to Amerisuites. Most of the time you can get it for $59-$69 per night. They have free airport shuttle and a free buffet breakfast. It is within walking distance to a mall. You will have to get a taxi to the pier ($20).
It was very nice, clean and had a good breakfast. Great price too!
