How to choose the best cruise to the Bahamas?

Some friends and I are planning a cruise to the Bahamas mid-April to celebrate my 33rd birthday. This will be my first cruise and I'm having trouble picking which one. Any help regarding the most fun, nicest ships is appreciated. Also, based on what there is to do in Nassau and on the ship, should we opt for a 3, 4, or 5 night cruise?

Currently in the running are:
Carnival Fascination 5-nights $499.
Carnival Imagainatio 3-nights $309.
Carnival Sensation 4-nights $339.
Royal Caribbean Monarch of the Seas 4-nights $364.
Royal Caribbean Majesty of the Seas 4-nights $399.

Hi Nicole Smith, welcome to Cruise-Chat. The best advise I can give you is to find a good travel agent, one who is a cruise specialist. They can match the best option for you with your expectations. There are many fine cruise lines that go to the Bahamas, most to the same ports. Not sure how much travel is involved for you to get to/from the port, so that's another consideration. If there's a good deal of travel/expense to get to the port, then a longer itinerary would be better. Of course, all of us cruise addicts would opt for longer itineraries . Both Carnival and Royal offer some great cruises. Another one to check into is NCL (Norweigan Caribbean) or even Costa (it's an Italian line).
