We have booked 3 of our last 4 cruises on Vacations to Go. Their support staff is very helpful. They are very insightful on different cruise itineraries and have helped us numerous times with questions. They continue to help with questions even after the sale. My only beef is that you cannot find the rooms available on their web site. You have to call them. If you are looking on web sites, sometimes Travelocity has great reduced fares for last minute cruise travelers. Hope this helps.

My husband and I have used vacationstogo for the past two vacations. We went to all inclusive resorts. This time we booked a cruise through them. We have been satisfied with their services.

My wife and I looked at ALL of the normal sites. NCL, Travelocity, Hotwire, Orbitz, Expedia, and even AAA. we found a great deal via Sam's Club. Save $300 each!

We have used vacations to go about five times. I finally gave up on them because I was not happy with my TA. Some how I got hooked up with one of their staff who works Part Time. I did not know this at first but finally figured it out. Sometimes I would leave messages and she would get right back to me, sometimes multiple times in one day. But most of the time I had to wait several days to get a reply. Usually the replies were incomplete. My wife liked the TA so we used her for a while but I finally got fed up with the lack of follow thru. Never had a problem with getting what I paid for. I have used the 800 number and talked to the first person who answered the phone but as soon as they got my name I was forwarded to "MY" personal TA. Now, I simply look for the CHEAPEST tickets I can find. I do my own research on the INTERNET and do not need the services of a major TA. Hope this helps.

I hope you don't associate a TA at an internet site with a Travel Agent that works in a regular brick and mortar agency, or has a home office. Most agents that work for the big internet sites are only order takers. Most of them have very little cruise experience. Most of them wouldn't know the first thing in qualifying you to the right cruise line or ship. They depend pretty much on you calling up and telling them what you want. It doesn't matter if it's right for you or not, they will book it. This is why it's important to find a good cruise oriented real Travel Agent. A certified cruise counselor can tell you the differences between many cruise lines, itineraries, and ships.

I also want to point out, at Least with Carnival no one can sell the cruises for any less than anyone else. Unless is a charter.

Onlines and Sam's Club all have the same pricing they can get through using different rate codes. It does not cost anymore to use a Travel or Cruise Agent if shopping for price.

The trick is finding an Agent and developing a relationship with them. And one that does not book you for SuperSaver Rate at $399 while knowing full well you qualify for Past Guest Rate of $259, or Resident Rates. If you can find a good one stick with them and hold them to the fire to look after you. Soon they will learn to appreciate your repeat business. Even if you are shopping for price

Cruise Specialist aka Carol posted a great example of this on another topic where She helped people that had forgot their Docs. I don't think anyone will be getting that personal attention from the onlines.
