Pre & Post cruise stress

I have been reading how people book early post cruise and late pre cruise flights, then they are worried about making their connections. All the stress that is put on you has to effect the enjoyment of your cruise. There is always something to do before or after the cruise, even if you just find some place to sit down and talk about the fun you will have or just had. I understand there are some places that have limited flights, try to book the early in and latest out that is available, or even a pre or post day stay. The stress of getting to or back can make for a bad cruise.

I couldn't agree more. The last thing I want on my mind is that worry. I worry enough about getting there a day ahead of the cruise. A cruise should be a time of relaxation and adventure.

I love to get up early enough to watch the ship sail into port, so I like arriving the day before. It is sad, though, to see her sail after you've debarked (I've done that a few times, too). The few times I've had to fly in the day of and fly out the same day of debarkation, I do exactly what you said. Book the earliest in and the latest out. There are just too many things that can and do go awry.
