Hi. I have a question and need opinions (young and old/ men and women). Do you think it is appropriate or tacky for a woman in her 30s to wear skirts above the knee? I'm not talking about micros but regular mini skirts. This is looked down upon in some "fashionable" circles.
If a woman has nice legs and is in shape, can she wear mini skirts in her 30s?

If guys in their 30's are starting to wear capri pants... why not wear the skirt. Last time I checked, knees are not on the forbidden list. Just watch out for those pesky updrafts that will have you doing an impromptu Marilyn Monroe maneuver.
I agree. Might as well show off your legs while you still can is what I say..... But there are people that say you shouldn't wear mini skirts after 35. I don't know where people come up with these rules. No white after Labor Day. etc..

They say 40 is the new 20, so I guess 35 must be the new 18, go for it! Seriously, if you are comfortable, why not. Now, here in California anything goes, we have no rules!
I think size is more the concern than age. If you are 40, 50 or 60 and you have the legs and looks why not! I do not think a size 24 needs to be strutting around in a short skirt. I once overheard two men talking in a lounge. A woman walked in wearing a short skirt. She as probably a size 16. One man said to the other, it should be against the law to wear short skirts bigger than a size 9. There is some logic to that.
IMO I feel if you look good wear it, a person should know if what they are wearing looks presentable or not. Big or small one can look good in what they wear as long as it is neat.
